The Anikulakpo estate, organizers of Felabration, reached out to us to create an experience unique and detailed enough to immerse attendees in the life and times of the Afrobeats legend.

The Exposé Plan

It’s easy to think of Fela and see nothing but the larger-than-life persona and legacy he left behind. But we figured that before the legend, he was just a man with a family that nurtured and influenced the man he eventually became and vice versa.
This line of thinking led us to come up with the idea of recreating his bedroom on a sound stage. Bringing this idea to life required multiple visits to Fela’s real-life bedroom, along with consulting with members of his family.The Brief

The Result

Our recreation of Fela’s bedroom set was so iconic that the event’s attendees were moved to tears. The set was critically acclaimed by local and international publications, who splashed images of the set all over their platforms.
